Commonwealth Funded Rapid Antigen Test Program

Commonwealth Funded Rapid Antigen Test Program is available to eligible cardholders. The program has been extended to July.

From 24 January 2022, you can get up to 10 free RATs over a 3 month period with a maximum of 5 in a month followed by the second cycle of the program in May/June/Juy.

 

To get free RATs, you must hold one of these cards:

  • Commonwealth Seniors Health Card
  • Health Care Card
  • Low Income Health Care Card
  • Pensioner Concession Card
  • Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold, White, or Orange card.

DVA/ Concession Cards Free RATs Request Form

To get free RATs, you must hold one of these cards: Commonwealth Seniors Health Card Health Care Card Low Income Health Care Card Pensioner Concession Card Department of Veterans’ Affairs Gold, White or Orange card. You need to show either of the following at the pharmacy: your digital card in the Express Plus Centrelink mobile app your physical card. This means you can use your digital copy if you’ve lost your physical card. You can get a carer or guardian to pick up your RATs if you’re eligible but can’t get them yourself. They will need to show your card when they go to the pharmacy.

The free RAT program runs from the end of January to July, with 20 free RATs over a 6 month period with a maximum of 5 in a month. If you have obtained full or partial of your quota from another pharmacy, we will be able to send you the remaining balance only. It is now the government requirement that the pharmacy must sight the valid card. This can be your DVA card, Pension card, Healthcare card, etc.

DVA card holders are not required to fill this.
