OpSite Film
The film is waterproof and a barrier to bacteria. Its high moisture vapor permeability allows the skin to breathe. The acrylic adhesive minimizes the risk of skin damage on removal, especially after long periods of wear.
Adaptable to awkward areas
OpSiteFlexifix has been designed to allow easy application of the film to awkward areas of the body and over dressings and tubes. The film is highly conformable and extensible to increase patient comfort.
Unique Roll System
The unique and novel roll format enables rapid and economical use of the OpSite film to create comfortable, waterproof fixation for dressings.
Materials
A thin polyurethane membrane coated with a layer of acrylic adhesive.
Instructions
Ideal for application over dressings and on awkward areas of the body. Cut to the desired length. Do not use it on open wounds.
Step 1
Cut off the desired length of film from the roll.
Step 2
Fold the strip along its length to crack the protective papers. Remove the backing paper marked No. 1 “remove first”.
Step 3
Apply the adhesive film to the desired area and smooth it down.
Step 4
Remove the green squared grid carrier, marked No 3.
Step 5
To remove the film, gently stretch the film parallel to the skin and lift it off

Direction

To retain a primary wound dressing: Step 1: Wash hands before and after handling the dressing. Step 2: Apply the primary wound dressing on the skin according to the instructions for use. Make sure the surrounding skin is clean and dry. Step 3: Cut the OPSITE FLEXIFIX roll to the desired length. Step 4: Stretch the OPSITE FLEXIFIX film away from the cut in the backing paper (printed 'Remove First 1') to make the backing paper easier to remove. Step 5: Remove the smallest part of the backing paper printed 1. Folding the dressing lengthways can simplify this operation. Step 6: Apply the exposed adhesive then remove the second part of the backing paper and smooth down the edges. Step 7: Remove the green carrier grid marked '3' by lifting and pulling away using the pre-lifted edge along the centre of the green carrier. Repeat to remove the other side. Smooth down the edges of the film again. Step 8: For larger wound dressings repeat the application until the whole dressing is secured. As a skin protection dressing: Step 1: Wash hands before and after handling the dressing. Step 2: Cut the OPSITE FLEXIFIX film to the desired length. Step 3: Stretch the OPSITE FLEXIFIX film away from the cut in the backing paper (printed 'Remove First 1') to make the backing paper easier to remove. Step 4: Remove the smallest part of the backing paper printed 1. Folding the dressing lengthways can simplify this operation. Step 5: Apply the exposed adhesive then remove the second part of the backing paper and smooth down the edges.
